We have a diverse culture of native grasses with areas of improved pastures and legumes, as well as around 150 hectares of leucaena and 200 hectares of forage cropping. The breeding herd is predominantly run on Bloodwood / Ironbark country.
Here at RV Pastoral we actively manage our ecosystem and educate our team in order that we are continually improving the health and vitality of our soil and water cycles. This creates a flow on effect from soil, to grass, to beast, to beef, to the consumer.
All our cattle are pasture raised and have the natural advantage of a diverse gut-culture so will easily adapt to perform in new environments.
The cattle play a huge role in contributing to the health of the soil, which is after all the heart & soul of every agricultural operation, at various times acting as plough, slasher and fertilizer.
